“I think we all felt we had just done every airplane joke we could think of.” – the writers/directors of the film Airplane! on why they didn’t participate in the sequel.
When I started writing/drawing Stuck in Reverse, I knew the comic had a finite lifespan. No matter how many car magazines I read, or track events I attended, or time I spent working on my car, there was only going to be so many car related jokes I could make into a comic strip.
The comic is not ending today, there’s at least a few more jokes I want to share, but in the next few weeks or months Stuck in Reverse will be coming to an end.
I do want to thank you for reading Stuck and Reverse. All the shares on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr/message boards were very much appreciated. I hope you enjoyed the comic, and maybe I’ll see you around for my next project, whatever that may be.

🙂 At least there’s a few more weeks left before it goes off into the sunset.

Nils, I’ve been reading Stuck in Reverse ever since you made a post about it on Reddit around three years ago, thank you so much for all the amusement it has given me over that time.

Is there any way to place a request or are the final ones already drafted? I’d love to see a few about Swedish cars before the series ends, since the Swedish auto industry seems to go unnoticed by most of the world for a majority of the time…btw, I’ve loved this series, followed it on this site for probably a year now, sad to see it go but I totally understand…best of luck in whatever comes next!

I haven’t finished all the comics yet. I don’t really take requests, but I’ll see what I can do. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

You know, much fun as I’ve had reading your strip, I understand that all good things eventually end. Two of my very favorite comics growing up were Calvin & Hobbes, and The Far Side. Both came to an end, and didn’t drag it into the ground to the point where it wasn’t even funny anymore.
So, I see nothing wrong with going out on a high note. However, don’t let “the end of SIR” mean that you’ll never post the occasional strip if you feel the inspiration. =)

Thanks for the kinds words, Brad. I’ll be sure to post additional comics if I have an idea that strikes my fancy. 🙂
